Welcome to our brand new Premier Motion Blog.

We thought it was about time to open up our doors and share with you all our activities, let you see and share our latest films as we produce them and tell you all our latest news.

Tonia & Peter - 26th June

When I first visited this venue Great Fosters for the rehearsal, I quickly became very excited with all the filming possibilities and from then I couldn't wait to get there on the morning of the wedding and get stuck into it. You could easily walk around for hours and hours admiring the scenery, both the gardens and the natural woodland, and of course the building and its interior. I think we captured far too much footage for the day but it's hard not to with such a venue.

After the filming I was still excited, but to get into the edit as this is one of my favourite styles of editing. I would describe this one as 'modern' and 'pacey' but yet capturing the chill-out atmosphere around. I still enjoy watching it, I hope you do as well:

Oriana & Sam - The film of the piano

Making good use of the glidecam and steady rig at this location, I am very happy with our detail shots around the tables, capturing the tall ceilings and the beautiful scenery.

This is a nice example of classic style editing which works really well with the piano. I really enjoy editing with live music or singing, breaking away from the main sequence but not disturbing the narrative, being linked to the underlying music track.

I've made a cinematic teaser trailer for this wedding below, but here are the highlights:

Matt & Jen - 19th June 2010

This was our first visit to Friars Court in Oxfordshire, and what a lovely location especially for an outside ceremony if the weather allows, which it did this day. I think the style makes a nice difference compared to most inside venues, which allowed us to take a unique shooting style and make the most of the bright natural lighting. I had seen a few wedding films of Friars Court before but I think we captured it in a very different and unique way.

Here are the highlights, and a classic example of how an interview can drive the narrative forward and bring unseen emotion to the film:

  Oriana & Sam - 5th June 2010

Well I think this is a lovely example to be the first wedding on our new blog. This was an amazing venue and local to us but we've never heard of it before, it's called Hampden House and we did our best to capture the best of both inside and the massive gardens.

I'm very happy with the results and it all went without any problems. Very soon we'll post the highlights footage but for now, here's the short teaser.

Our very first blog post!

Welcome to Premier Motion and our brand new blog. It's already getting near to the summer season so we'll have some of our films on here very soon for you all to view and share and gain a better understanding of the sort of films we produce and what we're about.

Well for now, let me introduce you to some of our new shiny equipment for this year which we can't wait to use on all the weddings in the next few months. We've just invested in a Glidetrack which allows us to make silky smooth moving camera shots like the big Hollywood productions but without getting in the way and taking over the whole room like a traditional tracking and dolly systems. You can see the sort of filming we can now produce with our glidetrack from this example here:

We've also just bought a new camera in addition to our Sony Z1, a Cannon 550d which gives amazing photographic and HD video results better than a lot of cameras that just focus on video. Because of its subtlety, we can run to the action quickly without lugging around all the heavy equipment and start shooting right where we want to be, and often we aren't even noticed. This works much better on our flycam rig as well which will give better results than you would have seen on our 2009 footage.

Well we've done a few weddings already at the beggining of the year, but our first bookings of the busy summer season are rapidly approaching and we hope to share all the highlights with you all, so keep checking to get the latest...
